From 19-20 April, the Arizona Coalition for Military Families will hold its 8th Annual Symposium. The focus is on military families and resources available to sustain them. This year, the symposium is having a special Faith and Spirituality Track which focuses on the efforts of the Faith Community to bring healing and peace to families and veterans. Pastors and other faith leaders within the Diocese are welcome. Registration is online and available. See website. Scholarships are available for those having funding issues. No one should not attend due to lack of funding. Faith leaders from all over AZ are attending, as well as speakers on “Moral Injury” from noted institutions and well known experts in the field of dealing with combat injuries and PTSD issues. Goal is to have one person at each parish knowledgeable on military and veteran family issues and able to guide parishioners to the right resources.

Priests, deacons, parish and diocesan employees dealing with families and their issues are invited to attend.
