What is ‘Together Let Us Go Forth ~ Juntos Sigamos Adelante’ magazine?
The Diocese of Phoenix launched a bilingual magazine in October 2021. We are calling it Together Let Us Go Forth ~ Juntos Sigamos Adelante to reflect the ongoing mission of the local Church to strengthen our discipleship and evangelization efforts. Although there will be elements of news, it will focus on telling the stories of people encountering the living Jesus Christ, and used as a means for engaged Catholics to share with others.
Is this replacing The Catholic Sun?
The Catholic Sun was a terrific, award-winning newspaper that was sent to all registered Catholic households across the Diocese of Phoenix. For more than 35 years, the publication shared what was going on around the Diocese and the Universal Church, and was a teaching platform for Bishop Olmsted. The Together magazine was not created to replace the newspaper, rather it was designed to tell stories of discipleship and evangelization, as well as another platform for Bishop Olmsted to teach.
Who will receive the magazine?
Together Let Us Go Forth ~ Juntos Sigamos Adelante will be distributed six times per year to those who have engaged in the mission of the Diocese of Phoenix. The magazine will be sent to the home of those who have participated in discipleship and evangelization efforts at the Diocesan level, including the Together Let Us Go Forth ~ Juntos Sigamos Adelante campaign, the Charity & Development Appeal, the TV Mass, Catholic School Support 365, and through supporting our seminarians and Nazareth House.
