Qualifications:
1) In full agreement with the Centers Mission Statement and scope of care.
2) Is a Registered Nurse in good standing with the AZBN and able to work in the state of Arizona.
3) Has current BLS certification.
4) Has 2 years minimum experience in OBGYN practice.
5) Is trained in Limited OB Sonography or willing to be trained.
6) Has experience and is comfortable with patients in crisis.
7) Has good organizational and leadership skills.
8) Has excellent communication skills both written and oral.
10) Is able to maintain cooperative working relationships in a team environment.
– Bilingual English & Spanish a plus.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage Medical Area
- Follow all medical policies and procedures and update as appropriate in collaboration with Medical Director and Executive Director
- Maintain inventory and ordering of all medical supplies
- Review all medical invoices for accuracy and provide input on medical budget
- Review and maintain medication administration and procedure logs
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by enforcing health procedures and protocols
- Maintain appropriate lab collection and venipuncture standards
- Manage lab processes and maintain lab supplies inventory
2) Assist Staff Physician/NP/PA
- Collaborate with providers and medical staff to provide excellent and safe patient care
- Act as liaison between providers and medical staff to communicate guidelines, standing orders, and procedural changes
- Completes patient care tasks and follow up phone calls or letters as assigned
3) Ultrasound
- Follow appropriate Limited OB Ultrasound Protocols for Abdominal and Transvaginal Ultrasounds
- Maintain ultrasound supplies and equipment
- Ensure adequate and appropriate ultrasound training for certified RNs
4) Counsel women in crisis and abortion-minded women.
5) Manage scheduling of Providers, RNs, MAs and US Techs ensuring coverage for all centers.
6) Assist with day-to-day staff nursing responsibilities to ensure patient care is covered as needed.
7) Supervise and Train Medical Staff
- Train and evaluate performance of all medical staff to Aid to Women Center’s Protocols and Procedures for patient care, lab specimen collection, venipuncture, pregnancy testing and Ultrasound.
- Train all medical staff & volunteers on OSHA, Universal Precautions, HIPAA, and updated protocols as needed.
8) Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA and HIPAA standards of care and regulations.
9) Maintain all medical staff files.
