Director of Religious Education

 Director of Religious Education (DRE)
The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years experience as a DRE, is a Catholic in good standing who knows and loves the Catholic Faith, and is passionate about serving a dynamic, devotional and growing Catholic community. The DRE will be guided and inspired by our Parish purpose, which is to be God’s instrument to make people holy. Our stunning Mission-style church and campus are nestled between the beautiful Mingus and Red Rock mountains in Cottonwood, Arizona.

This person will: 

• Possess a happy, humble, servant’s heart.
• Take full ownership of the Religious Education function for a growing Parish. 
• Oversee all RE, OCIA, OCIC and Sacraments education programs and requirements for children and adults.
• Manage all RE teachers and volunteers.
• Be the key liaison between the Parish and school for the RE function.
  
  

Job Requirements:

 Required Competencies include: 

• Minimum 3 years DRE experience. 
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ParishStaq, or other ChMS and ability to learn and customize ParishStaq for RE function. 
• Demonstrated excellence in administrative and organizational skills, overseeing all RE and Sacraments records to ParishStaq and the Diocese. 
• Demonstrated people management skills and experience, managing and supporting RE Instructors and Volunteers. 
• Proven ability in Volunteer recruitment, engagement and training.  
• VBS (Vacation Bible School) experience: organizing, managing, delivering.  Both paid and volunteer experience are acceptable.
• Excellent people skills — work harmoniously with diverse demographics and calm under pressure.
