Rites of Election and the Call to Continuing Conversion
2025 – Bilingual Combined Rite – 4 Locations
Who should attend?
All 4 locations will offer a bilingual (English / Spanish) combined Rite of Election for the unbaptized and the Rite of the Call to Continuing Conversion for attendees 14 years old and up (high school and adult). Parishes should have a child-friendly parish-based Rite of Election for children.
Catechumens, candidates, sponsors, godparents, and OCIA team leaders should attend. If the OCIA coordinator is unavailable on these dates, please delegate someone else to lead the group. You should choose 1 person to bring up the Book of the Elect.
Which one should we register for?
Maricopa county parishes can register for either the Rite at St. Thomas Aquinas or the Rite at the Cathedral. Very large groups (100+) are encouraged to register for St. Thomas Aquinas. Seats for catechumens, candidates, sponsors and OCIA coordinators will be ticketed first.
