The Office of Evangelization, Discipleship and Spirituality is here to serve you and to carry out the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all I have commanded you (Matt. 28:19).”

We seek to encourage every Catholic to have a personal, dynamic relationship with Jesus, fortified and fueled by the sacraments and a love for God’s Word.

Diane Saunders, director of the Office of Evangelization, Discipleship and Spirituality, has engaged in parish and diocesan ministry across various parts of the country, including a year spent as a young family in the Old City of Jerusalem. She holds a Master of Arts in education and Theology from Boston College.

One of the mainstays of evangelization in the Diocese of Phoenix is centered around small church community and the Christ in Our Neighborhood Scripture study program developed by Bishop John P. Dolan. For information about how to get involved in this uplifting, faith-building evangelization effort, click here.
