Respect Life Ministry

For what you did to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.” (Matt. 25,40)

Embracing Life, Loving All

The Catholic Church proclaims that human life is sacred and that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society. This belief is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching. In our society, human life is under direct attack from abortion and euthanasia. We believe that every person is precious, that people are more important than things, and that the measure of every institution is whether it threatens or enhances the life and dignity of the human person.

We engage in public education to affirm the dignity of all human life, provide compassionate pastoral care for those affected by pregnancy challenges, abortion, disability, illness, or loss, advocate for policies protecting the unborn and vulnerable, and foster prayer and worship to transform our culture into one of life and love.

Crisis Pregnancy

Being pregnant unexpectedly or while in danger is scary; we are here for you, and we have people who can help whether you need medical care, parenting classes, diapers, or a shoulder to cry on.

Post-abortive Women

What you hear in media is not how most women experience their abortions. If you have had an abortion in the past and you recognize the need for healing in your life, please know that we are praying for you. All is not lost. The Lord has a plan, and you can be healed.

Care for the Elderly

Every parish, association and ecclesial group is called to become a protagonist in a ‘revolution’ of gratitude and care, to be brought about by regular visits to the elderly, the creation of networks of support and prayer for them and with them, and the forging of relationships that can restore hope and dignity to those who feel forgotten. (Pope Leo XIV)

End of Life & Sick Care

“Christ’s redemption and saving grace embrace the whole person, especially in his or her illness, suffering, and death. In the face of death—for many, a time when hope seems lost—the Church witnesses to her belief that God has created each person for eternal life.” USCCB Ethical Directives for Catholic Health Care.

Respect Life Leaders at Parishes

With heartfelt dedication, the Catholic Church’s parish respect life committees foster a culture of life, supporting the most vulnerable—mothers and their unborn children, the elderly, and the seriously ill or dying—along with their families.
