Mick Welsh, Graphic Artist for The Catholic Sun and the Communications Office of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix
While potentially assisting all departments at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, his two primary functions are the general production of the diocesan newspaper, The Catholic Sun, and production of the annual diocesan directory. He started working for the diocese in 2006 as an assistant designer and assumed end to end production of these assignments in 2010.
As sole Graphic Artist, Mick is primarily responsible for all other print and digital graphics and design work. This includes concept, design and preparation of marketing materials such as advertising, collateral materials, products and promotions.
Mick has lived in Arizona since 1958 and has been an artist and illustrator since childhood, having his first work appear in The Arizona Republic at age 15.
Mick and his wife Marie are members of Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral in Phoenix.
