Join the Office of Black Catholic Ministry at St. Mary’s Basilica for music, worship and a reception honoring the life and contributions of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his fight for civil rights in the United States.

4 p.m.: Mass celebrated by  the Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix. Auxiliary Bishop Joseph N. Perry of the Archdiocese of Chicago postulator for the cause for Canonization of Servant of God Fr. Augustus Tolton, is the guest homilist. Music provided by the African Mass Choir.

A reception follows the Mass at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 400 E. Monroe St., Phoenix.
