Phoenix residents will have a rare opportunity to view the not-yet released film “Outcasts” from Grassroots Films, the Award-winning producers of The Human Experience. This powerful documentary follows the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, based in the Bronx, NY, as they bring mercy and compassion to people on the fringes of society – the broken, wounded, addicted and discarded.

Film guests will be joined by the Most Reverend Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix, Grassroots Films Executive Producer Joseph Campo, Franciscan Friar Brother Vittorio, and the friends of Restore Dignity for this powerful and unforgettable evening.

“We are so excited to host this special film. Restore Dignity believes that every person is created to flourish, but many are thwarted by the wounds of abuse and trauma,” says Executive Director, Amy Corrieri. “It is not an easy topic, but this event will highlight the dignity of each human being and the power we all have to lift one another.”

A panel discussion and catered reception will follow the film.

The event benefits Restore Dignity, a Phoenix nonprofit dedicated to helping people to recover from the spiritual and physical degradation caused by sexual and physical abuse and trauma to reclaim a whole and joyful life rooted in the knowledge of each person’s inherent dignity.

Tickets are $35 and are available online at restoredignity.org.
