SPEAKER BIO:
Matt Emerson is currently the Vice President for Advancement at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, AZ. He is also an award-winning author who has published and spoken frequently on faith and Catholic education, with his writing appearing in national forums like America magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and CNN.com.

The Catholic Press Association named his September 2012 essay “Help Their Unbelief,” published in America, as the “best essay” in the category of national general interest magazine. In 2016, Matt published Why Faith? A Journey of Discovery (Paulist Press), a book that draws on his teaching and speaking, and which seeks to introduce religious faith to today’s seeker.

Matt is a native of Phoenix. Prior to joining Brophy, he served in various roles at Xavier College Preparatory in Palm Desert, CA and also practiced law at a Phoenix law firm. He received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is married to Natalie and is the father to one-year-old James.
