Chapel Coordinator
Fulltimeis responsible for organizing, directing, and implementing the outreach and evangelization of
our Chapel ministries based on our Parish mission. This person will work closely with the Pastor,
Director of the Chapel and Gift Shop, Director of Evangelization, and the Director of
Development.
Job Requirements:Chapel Orientation
• Welcome and educate visitors on the history, ministries, and events at the Chapel
• Promote and uphold all teachings of the Catholic Church in a way that non-Catholics can
understand
• Help visitors to have a better experience at the Chapel
• Maintain information table
• Lead Chapel Ambassador program
o Schedule volunteers to be welcoming visitors at the Chapel
o Encourage deeper faith in the volunteers and embolden them to share their faith
openly
o Ensure that all volunteers are up to date with Safe Environment Training
o Order Chapel Ambassador shirts and nametags for new volunteers
o Update Chapel Ambassador Training manual as needed
• Promote candle and general donations
• Promote Perpetual Candles with the goal of selling all the spots
• Maintain current Perpetual Candle program, communicating with donor renewals
• Promote the gift shop
• Maintain order and peace within the Chapel
Ministry Coordinator
• Masses, Adoration, and Confession
o Advertise and promote them by inviting visitors to attend
o Schedule volunteers to assist visitors and to serve during Mass
o Lead mass collection and counting deposit
• Prayer Teams
o Advertise and promote them
o Assist set-up and tear-down of prayer team booth
Media Coordinator
• Post regularly on Instagram and Facebook
• Answer Google reviews
• Learn, operate and manage livestreaming and sound system at the Chapel
• Design and send the Monthly Newsletter
o Encourage visitors to sign-up for the newsletter
o Manage input and removal of email addresses
• Manage brochures and rack cards
o Place print orders to keep brochures in stock & keep brochure holders full
Development and Fundraising
• Lead all campaigns at the Chapel
o Encourage donations to the current Chapel renovation campaign
o Count and deposit cash donations on a weekly basis
• Work with the Director of Development and with the Pastor to develop a strategy for
fundraising at the Chapel
QUALIFICATIONS
• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
• Bachelor’s degree in Theology
• Three years experience in ministry at parish or Diocesan level
• Management experience
• Fundraising experience
• Outgoing, personable, highly energetic person
• Feels comfortable and confident in a fast-paced, crowded environment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with people of all faith backgrounds
• Able to work weekends
• Will need to complete Safe Environment Training
