Maintenance / Custodian Part Time

This is a great opportunity for a student looking to make a little extra money while working part time for the Church. Or an active retired individual who has a love for serving the church with the ability to supplement his or her income.

Saint Paul Roman Catholic Parish is looking for a Part Time Custodian with some Maintenance / Cleaning experience. The current hours are afternoons 2/3p to 6/7pm. Monday through Friday, Saturday as needed. These hours are flexible if you are considering this opportunity. Pay rate will match experience level.

Duties include but not limited to the following:

- Keeping church, classrooms and banquet hall clean and ready to use

- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms regularly – spot-clean as needed

- Setting up chairs and tables for events large and small 

- Keeping closets organized and uncluttered. 

- General custodial support around campus

Light maintenance duties include:

- Sweeping, dusting, mopping 

- Vacuum Church and office, empty Trash

- Open classrooms for evening events 

Additional light duties may apply.

The ideal candidate for this job is someone who:

- Can check everything off their to-do list without supervision

- Sees a problem and looks for a solution

- Finds litter on the ground and puts it in the trash

- Notices something could be done better and makes suggestions

- Has a valid AZ driver’s license, dependable transportation, and able to comply with the Diocese of Phoenix Safe Environment Training
