Start Date: 08/29/2022

Time Commitment: Flexible

Description: FSL is a non-profit organization founded by the Diocese of Phoenix in 1974 that addresses the needs of people needing help living independently. The organization offers over 20 programs to meet this mission. FSL programs and services strive to embody the spirit of St. John the Caregiver, whom Jesus Christ entrusted the care of His Blessed Mother.

The FSL Peoria CAP Senior Center is responsible for the area’s Home Delivered Meals (HDM) program for low-income homebound clients. While doing this much-needed service HDM volunteers can also conduct wellness checks and promote an array of home and community-based services provided by FSL and others.

The HDM Driver will help package up the meals for delivery, load the meals into the delivery vehicle, follow a delivery schedule, take meals into the homes of clients, spend a little time checking in with clients, and record the day’s deliveries along with any issues encountered. Deliveries are made Monday through Friday, using FSL program vans, between 9:00 am and the conclusion of deliveries, often times around 2:00 pm.

We are seeking one or two individuals willing to step in on an as-needed basis when regular drivers are out on sick leave or vacation. More.
