Announcing a new mission for the pastoral care and evangelization of African Americans and Black Catholics

Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Phoenix, is pleased to announce the establishment of a new mission for the pastoral care and evangelization of African Americans and Black Catholics.

St. Josephine Bakhita Mission will hold events and Masses at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 809 S. 7^th Ave., Phoenix, under the leadership of Rev. Andrew McNair, chaplain of the African American community and administrator of St. Josephine Bakhita Mission.

Weekly Sunday Masses will begin on Sunday, August 7, at 12 p.m.
