Statement from Bishop Olmsted on Vatican Summit

“As the bishops, religious and others from across the worldwide Church gather in Rome with Pope Francis for the Meeting on the Protection of Minors in the Church, I ask you to join me in prayer that the voices of survivors will be heard, that Church leadership will be filled with humility and contrition, and systems to protect children and vulnerable adults will be strengthened."

Statement on the Release of Names by the Jesuits West Province

Today the Jesuits West Province released the names of Jesuit priests who have been credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. The list of names is part of a review of records dating back to 1950, which includes the names of Jesuits who were assigned in Arizona. Brophy College Preparatory made an announcement that none of the Jesuits whose names are listed have served at the school in at least the last two decades, and the school has no information regarding claims made against the priests on the list.
