This morning we awoke to the tragic news of the fire at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phoenix. The Phoenix Fire Department is investigating the fire. The church building was destroyed and there were no injuries. We will have more to share as it becomes available.

Today the Jesuits West Province released the names of Jesuit priests who have been credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. The list of names is part of a review of records dating back to 1950, which includes the names of Jesuits who were assigned in Arizona. Brophy College Preparatory made an announcement that none of the Jesuits whose names are listed have served at the school in at least the last two decades, and the school has no information regarding claims made against the priests on the list.
