The Hispanic Mission Office of the Diocese of Phoenix is pleased to launch its new website MiFeCatolica.org. It represents a starting point for a new series of initiatives to engage and evangelize in the Hispanic community.

“MiFeCatolica.org is just the beginning of what we hope to be a growing engagement of the Hispanic community with an emphasis on the Internet, social media, as well as a strong component of Catholic presence at community events,” said Cristofer Pereyra, director of the Hispanic Mission Office.

MiFeCatolica.org is an evangelization site. What sets it apart from other Internet efforts by the Catholic Church that have a more institutional or informative character is that MiFeCatolica.org seeks to invite its visitors to find Jesus Christ in the sacraments in a direct straightforward manner. For that purpose it provides a listing of parishes that offer Mass and/or confessions in Spanish within the Diocese of Phoenix.

MiFeCatolica.org will count on the help of a professional social media support team. Along with the website there will be a series of new accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Through these MiFeCatolica.org hopes to create an active presence of the local Church in the Internet; and to continue to spread the Catholic faith in the Hispanic community within the diocese.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix was established on Dec. 2, 1969, by Pope Paul VI. Led by the Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, more than 1.1 million Catholics — of which a significant percentage are Hispanic — make this diverse, vibrant and faith-filled diocese their home.
