In place of this week’s TOB Tuesdays, we want thank everyone who attended our Annual JP2 Celebration and Fundraiser last Saturday night. Keynote speaker Glenn Stanton provided great insight into how, as a Protestant, he was already encountering many of the themes of the Theology of the Body through the evangelical preacher Francis Schaeffer, which tilled the soil for his own conversion to Catholicism.

We also had the great JOY of introducing the new JPII Resource Center Interim Coordinator, Michael Villanueva (pictured with his wife Rachel at their wedding). I feel immense confidence and enthusiasm for passing on the TOB baton to him as he is a graduate of Franciscan University and the JPII Institute in Washington, DC, (like me!). He has good insight into both the single and married vocations (again, like me!). And he is an enthusiastic extrovert (not like me!). His start date is March 30, which gives us 2+ months for solid mentoring in the mission of the St. JPII Resource Center.

My deep gratitude goes out to everyone who supports the legacy of St. John Paul II in our diocese by your prayers, practical support, and financial generosity. If, by chance, you didn’t get a chance to attend, but would like to make a donation, please go to our web site, www.tobcenter.org, and click on “Support the JPII Resource Center” in the right-hand column. And remember, you are a gift!
