Hope for Creation

Catholic Social Teaching

Office Nav:

“Our mission to care for creation, to foster peace and reconciliation, is Jesus’ own mission, the mission that the Lord entrusts to us. We hear the cry of the earth and we hear the cry of the poor, because this plea has reached the heart of God. Our indignation is his indignation; our work is His work.” – Pope Leo XIV’ Homily at Borgo Laudato Si’ Mass of Creation

Laudato Si' Action Plan

What is the Diocese of Phoenix Laudato Si’ Action?

- Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, the Laudato Si’ Action Plan is a strategic blueprint for environmental stewardship within the Diocese of Phoenix. This plan has been built upon intentional and prayer reflection on current and previous Laudato Si’ initiatives as well as the environmental realities facing the Diocese of Phoenix. It will be published on the Diocese of Phoenix website as well as the Laudato Si’ Platform, an initiative of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.

- Our hope is that parishes, schools, and all members of the Diocese of Phoenix will take the time to prayerful read this plan and discuss ways they can implement the plan or their own Laudato Si’ actions in their communities.
