One important way to grow in the Lord is to observe the penitential practices that strengthen us for resisting temptation, allow us to express our sorrow for the sins we have committed, and help to repair the tear caused by our sinning.
Catechumenate
The OCIA is normative for the Christian initiation of adults and children of catechetical age. The initiation of catechumens is a gradual process that takes place within the community of the faithful.
Adoration and Exposition
As Catholics, we believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Since the 11th Century, it has been customary to reserve some of the Blessed Sacrament in tabernacles in our churches and chapels.
