Prison ministry for adults, within the Diocese of Phoenix Prison Ministry, involves the badged volunteer (MCSO or ADOC) entering the facility, passing through security and entering into the location upon which the inmates are brought to you in order to receive the Gospel and the Blessed Sacrament.

The Diocesan Commission fosters communion by leading initiatives of prayer, catechesis, dialogue, and collaboration throughout the diocese.

The Church in Phoenix is called to vibrantly live out the identity and mission that it has received from Christ: to be “a sign and instrument of communion with God and of unity among all men” (CCC 775).
