The Ascension of the Lord – Sunday, May 12th, 2024

In the Diocese of Phoenix, as with most Dioceses in the United States, the Solemnity of the Ascension is not observed on its traditional Thursday, rather it is transferred to the following Sunday.

Ecclesiastical Provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Omaha, and Philadelphia: The Ascension is on Thursday, May 9th.

In all other Provinces (including the Province of Santa Fe to which Phoenix belongs): The Ascension is on Sunday, May 12th,
