The Office of Legal & Compliance supports the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix and the parishes, schools, missions, and other diocesan entities we serve. We assist pastors, principals, administrators, and staff with legal and compliance matters that affect their ministries and operations.

The Office does not provide personal legal services to parishioners, students, or employees. We represent diocesan entities and their officials only when acting in their official capacities.

What We Do

We provide legal and compliance support to diocesan entities, including:

Legal counsel and preventative guidance

Contract review and drafting

Policy review and development

Guidance on federal, state, and local regulations

Risk management support

Engagement and oversight of outside counsel

Assistance with litigation, real estate, and other transactions

Training for pastors, principals, and administrators
