Called to eternal life on January 7, 2025, Fr. Arthur Craig devoted his life to serving both God and country. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, he answered God’s call by joining the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Following his ordination on June 4, 1955, he embarked on a distinguished 30-year career as a U.S. Army Chaplain, during which he earned the Bronze Star for heroism in Vietnam. His commitment to ministry continued after military service as he served the incarcerated as chaplain for the Maricopa County Jail System. Fr. Craig entered eternal rest at age 96, leaving a legacy of courage and compassion.
