Nazareth House – Seminary House of Formation
Nazareth House is a seminary formation house in the Diocese of Phoenix. This local seminary allows diocesan seminarians to begin their formation in the community where they may eventually minister.
The two-year, college level seminary, opened in 2019, provides a household-style setting where the men share daily prayer, meals, household responsibilities and volunteer activities. Phoenix College is close by, enabling seminarians to complete two years of initial academic studies before making the transition to St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver. Formator priests live on-site and support the men in all aspects of formation.
Nazareth House Chapel
Nazareth House features a beautifully renovated chapel where the men spend time in prayer and gather for Mass and Adoration.
Many thanks to the generosity of the Serra Clubs of the Valley for the permanent altar dedicated by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted on August 25, 2020.

Nazareth House Prayer
Lord Jesus, before beginning Your saving mission, You “grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” under the guidance of Mary, your Mother, and Joseph, her Spouse. Please bless and guide the seminarians and priests of Nazareth House as they prepare to work in Your vineyard. Grant them strength and growth in the virtue and character needed to be men wholly consecrated to Your service — eager to work in Your harvest with missionary zeal — so that humanity may not be lost for lack of disciples dedicated to living the joy of the Gospel.
Jesus, graciously hear this prayer through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Amen.
