Fr. Carota was born November 15, 1948 and was ordained to the priesthood on May 24, 1997 for the Diocese of Stockton.
Fr. Carota founded St. Francis Catholic Kitchen in Santa Cruz, CA. It was his goal to not just feed, clothe and shelter the poor, but also to heal their brokenness through bringing them to Jesus and His Church. During his time in the Diocese of Phoenix he served at St. Catherine of Siena Parish.
