Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

O God, Thou didst raise Thy servant,, to the sacred priesthood of Jesus Christ,

according to the Order of Melchisedech, giving him the sublime power to offer the Eternal Sacrifice,

to bring the Body and Blood of Thy Son Jesus Christ down upon the altar,

and to absolve the sins of men in Thine own Holy Name.

We beseech Thee to reward his faithfulness and to forget his faults,

and to admit him speedily into Thy Holy Presence,

there to enjoy forever the recompense of his labors.

This we ask through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Rev. Gregory P. Rice, MHM died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the age of 78. Fr. Rice was born September 12, 1939 and was Ordained to the Priesthood June 25, 1972. After Ordination Fr. Rice went to the Rawalpindi Diocese, Pakistan, where he served as a Mill Hill Missionary until November 2005 when he returned to the United States. Fr. Rice arrived in the Diocese of Phoenix for his “retirement” years in 2007. He assisted Native American Ministry and served as Canonical Pastor of St. Peter and St. John the Baptist Mission as well as Director of Native American Ministry from 2012-2015. Fr. Rice also served as interim Parochial Administrator of St. Joseph Parish in Phoenix and St. Maria Goretti Parish in Scottsdale. Fr. Rice also served parishes throughout the diocese. Rev. Gregory P.
