The Bishops of the Arizona Catholic Conference (ACC) are grateful for the passage of an important pro-life bill (SB 1394) that was sponsored by Senator Nancy Barto and signed into law today by Governor Doug Ducey.
SB 1394 will enhance Arizona’s existing abortion reporting law by allowing for the collection of more accurate data. With better data, it is hoped that more improved services can be provided to women and their babies.
Arizona has a long held policy of respecting human life and providing quality services to women in need. Accordingly, we are glad that SB 1394 has now been signed into law so that these efforts will continue to be further improved.
