The Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix is launching its first-ever $100 million campaign to keep up with the community’s rapid growth.
The diocese has grown by 464 percent since it was established in 1969 to more than 1.1 million Catholics today — with Catholics making up 25 percent of the population in Arizona.
The campaign, “Together Let Us Go Forth — Juntos Sigamos Adelante,” was created to raise $100 million for several construction projects and K-12 educational needs within the diocese, which encompasses 44,000 square miles, reaching as far north as the Grand Canyon.
