Statement on the Release of Names by the Congregation of Holy Cross

Today the United States Province of Priests & Brothers, Congregation of Holy Cross released the names of their members credibly accused of the sexual abuse of a minor. The list of names is part of their review of records dating back to the 1940s, which includes the names of priests who were assigned to Arizona at one point. The Diocese of Phoenix is reviewing the list of priests who served in the Diocese and are reported to have abuse allegations against them.

Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted and the Diocese of Phoenix take accusations of sexual misconduct seriously and urge anyone who has been a victim of abuse to call a local law enforcement agency.
