Pope announces plenary indulgence connected to March 27 extraordinary blessing

In response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Pope Francis said he will give an extraordinary blessing — which carries with it a plenary indulgence for all who follow by television, internet or radio —­ “urbi et orbi” (to the city and the world) at 10 a.m. Arizona Time March 27.

Bishop Olmsted Extends Permission for Eucharist, Mass at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center

On the Feast of Saint Joseph, March 19, 2020, Bishop Olmsted has extended permission for St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center to begin reserving the Most Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle in their chapel. He also extends the permission for Mass to be celebrated in the chapel, according to the current liturgical restrictions, in order that it may be live-streamed to patient rooms and be watched by staff, nurses and doctors.
