Rooted in Scripture and tradition, the diaconate formation emphasizes selfless service, active parish involvement, and four distinct levels of preparation for the deacon vocation.

General criteria to become a Deacon​

It is expected that applicants have been actively involved in the Church’s apostolate in their parish and/or Catholic agency.


Levels of Diaconal Admission

The path to becoming a permanent deacon is a prayerful and transformative process, unfolding through four distinct levels.
