Upholding Our Mission

The Office of the Chancellor is a key pillar of the Catholic Diocese, assisting the bishop in the oversight of the official archives of the Diocese of Phoenix in accord with Canon Law. The Chancellor is a key member of the administrative leadership staff of the bishop, giving counsel in various ecclesial, communication, and business matters. Dr. Maria Chavira serves as the Chancellor and ensures alignment with the Diocese’s mission, fostering accountability and supporting the faithful in their service.

October Mass Count

The October Mass Count is conducted every other year, on even years. The 2024 Mass Count is now closed. The next parish counts will be collected in October 2026.

Baptismal Record Requests

Sacramental record requests must be made through the parish at which the sacrament was administered. For more information, please visit the Archives Office.
